The practice continues to grow! Thank you to everyone for your support in helping me build this clinic. Reviews are starting to be posted on Google and word is getting around that I’m accepting new patients. A common question people have is “what do I do with my insurance?” We’ve been conditioned to think that if we have health insurance that A.) we should use it for everything health related, and B.) it will be financially worthwhile to use it for primary care needs. What often ends up happening is people go to a traditional clinic, use their insurance and then get hit with a massive copay and extra fees after the fact, not even considering the cost of labs with insurance. I highly recommend that people think about their finances and whether or not my subscription model might be cheaper for you in the long run even with health insurance. A general rule of thumb I have is that if you’re seeing your primary care provider more than twice a year, it’s possible that you could be saving money with the direct primary care model despite having insurance. You’ll always know what your cost is ahead of time and there are no surprise bills with Greenleaf DPC.

Finally, the direct primary care model allows me to dedicate some time to providing care for patients who can’t afford any kind of insurance but can’t qualify for Medicaid or other assistance. Because I’m not trying to cram my day full of appointments for billable time to make my overhead, I’m able to spend time with those who have fallen on hard times and need some help with their health without having to worry about paying the bills. So again, thank you to my subscribers. You’re sponsoring a program to help those in need without realizing it!
