Dr. Josh Estep graduated with a B.A. in History from the University of Colorado-Denver before completing his Pre-Med studies at the University of San Francisco. He pursued his medical doctorate at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Augusta University-University of Georgia Medical Partnership in Athens, Georgia in the summer of 2020. Since then he has practiced in the states of Oregon and Georgia. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and he completed his certificate in Medicinal Plants from Cornell University in 2023.
Dr. Estep is a Zen Buddhist. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, hiking, camping, archery, live music and hockey.
Dr. Anna Afonso is a board-certified family medicine physician with a focus on holistic and preventive care. She is passionate about helping patients address the root causes of chronic disease and achieve lasting health through personalized, sustainable approaches.
Dr. Afonso earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Duke University and her Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from the University of Georgia. She received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Duke University Family Medicine Residency Program. After Residency, Dr. Afonso practices primary care for three years in Raleigh, North Carolina. She later moved to Athens, Georgia, to be closer to family, where she spent approximately three years working as an obesity medicine provider.
In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, gardening, pickleball, arts and crafts, and spending time with her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews
